Lang’s fishing Adventures is now offering guided raft fishing trips on the Squamish River, Cheakamus River, and Vedder River. From fly, gear and Spey fishing, this is the only way to cover vast amounts of water and see water that cannot be reached by walking.

On a typical trip, we meet our clients on the river at first light which is the best time for fishing. Depending on the time of year, certain rivers are better then others.

November until February the Cheakamus River is full of Big Sea Run Bull Trout, and by using flesh and egg patterns we can effectively catch these magnificent fish. It is not uncommon to catch over 30 fish a day! There are also Rainbow Trout and Steelhead this time of year, but the peak time for Steelhead is in February until May. Drifting the Cheakamus River is very exciting because there are lots of white water rapids and of course the fishing is awesome too.

March until the end of May the Squamish River heats up with great quantities of Sea Run Bull Trout and Steelhead. The Squamish River is known as a Fly or Spey River because every piece of fish-able water you can effectively use a Fly or Spey rod to catch these fish. The scenery on the Squamish River is out of this world. Surrounded by snow cover mountains and a majestic Forest, when you are drifting this river, you feel a sense of relaxation and peace that you cannot find any where else.

Finally there is the Vedder River in Chilliwack which is known for the its big Steelhead. Starting in April we offer guided rafting trips. Rafting the Vedder is truly amazing because you get both the amazing Steelhead fishing and the exciting white water rapids. There are lots of fish and there is a great chance of getting a Steelhead over 20 pounds. The Cheakamus and Squamish River is catch and release only, while the Vedder River you are allowed one hatchery Steelhead per day.

Join us and discover the amazing Guided Sturgeon and Salmon fishing in British Columbia! Here is some great pictures of Sturgeon and Salmon that we caught in BC:

We had another great day on the Fraser River. Even though the river was in the beginning of freshet, we manage to hook over 15 fish and landed 10 of them.

As you may all know this time of year there are lots of sea run Bull trout that conjugate on the lower Fraser River to feed on the dying Eulichans. Here is a picture of a big Bull Trout that we caught today on an Eulichan!
